What to Expect: Your Plaquex Infusion Experience
Before Your Appointment
Our providers will review your medical history, current medications, wellness goals, and any recommended lab work. Depending on your treatment plan, certain labs and other cardiovascular markers may be reviewed.
Comfortable Experience
You'll relax in one of our comfortable infusion chairs while a small IV is placed in your arm. Plaquex® is administered slowly through your IV in a monitored setting. We offer refreshments during your infusion, and we encourage you to bring a book, browse your phone or tablet, listen to music, and just relax.
Infusion Time
Plaquex® infusions are typically longer than standard hydration IV's and may take approximately 1-2 hours depending on the dose, protocol and individual tolerance. Most patients tolerate it well. Some may experience mild temporary symptoms such as warmth, flushing, nausea, fatigue, or IV site discomfort. Our team will monitor you throughout the infusion and adjust your treatment as needed for comfort.
After Treatment
Most patients return to normal daily activities immediately after treatment. Because Plaquex® is typically used as part of a structured protocol, multiple sessions are recommended for optimal wellness support.
